Freedom Counsel
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information Freedom Counsel collects through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
01Who We Are
Freedom Counsel is a nonprofit network of attorneys, medical professionals, scientists and citizens working to defend constitutional rights and hold government and corporate misconduct accountable. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information collected through our website, freedomcounsel.org (the “Site”).
Questions about this policy can be sent to susan@freedomcounsel.org.
02Information We Collect
Information you give us
When you fill out one of our forms, we collect what you choose to submit. Our forms are:
- Contact Form (general inquiries): your name, email address, and message.
- Attorney Membership Application: your name, email, phone number, and the professional details you provide.
- Expert Application (medical professionals and other experts): your name, email, phone number, and the background you provide.
- Legal Assistance Request: your name, email, phone number, and the details of your situation or case that you choose to share.
Please share only what is needed for us to respond. Avoid sending highly sensitive information (such as medical records or Social Security numbers) through the Site unless we ask for it.
Information collected automatically
- Visitor analytics: we use TraceMyIP to understand how visitors use the Site. It records information such as your IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you visit.
- Server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information, such as IP address, browser type and the date and time of a visit, for security and troubleshooting.
- Cookies: the Site uses cookies and similar technologies that are needed for it to work, including those set by WordPress and our form software, and those used by our analytics provider. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the Site may not work properly if you do.
03How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your questions and messages;
- review and manage applications to join our attorney and expert network;
- review requests for legal assistance and, where appropriate, connect you with attorneys or experts in our network who may be able to help;
- understand how the Site is used so we can improve it; and
- operate, maintain and protect the Site.
05No Attorney-Client Relationship
Submitting a form does not create an attorney-client relationship. Freedom Counsel is a network, not a law firm, and information you send through the Site is not protected by attorney-client privilege. An attorney-client relationship exists only after an attorney agrees in writing to represent you. Until then, please do not send confidential information you would not want shared, and do not rely on any response as legal advice.
06How Long We Keep Information
We keep form submissions and related messages for as long as we need them to respond to you and for our legitimate organizational records. Spam and irrelevant submissions may be deleted at any time. Analytics and server log data are kept according to the retention practices of those providers.
07Your Choices
- Access, correction or deletion: email susan@freedomcounsel.org to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We will respond within a reasonable time, though we may keep some information where needed for legal or legitimate organizational reasons.
- Emails: if we ever send you mailing-list emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us.
- Cookies: you can control cookies through your browser settings.
08Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
09Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. However, no website, internet transmission or storage method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top.
