A Message from Freedom Counsel

We are three of four Directors on the Freedom Counsel Board. The fourth Director, and Board Chairman, was Warner Mendenhall. Yesterday as you know, Warner passed away after a relatively brief but fierce fight with cancer.  With his passing, we lost a precious friend, an inspiring leader, and a fearless advocate.    

We serve as Directors because of Warner and our desire to support his vision for Freedom Counsel. As Directors of Freedom Counsel, and with Warner’s passing, we are committed to his vision and to advance his fearless advocacy for justice.

Warner motivated us. He inspired us. He humored us. He was our friend. If you met or worked with him, we believe this was your experience of Warner, too.

We are forever grateful to Warner.  Our goal is to express our thanks by growing his inspired creation, Freedom Counsel, consistent with his vision.

We will have more updates for the Freedom Counsel community in the coming weeks. In the meantime, feel free to reach out to any of us if you have questions or thoughts on our community, and how to grow its impact.

Finally, we express our deepest condolences to Warner’s family:  To his wife, Kelly, and to his children and grandchildren. He loved them deeply.

We loved Warner and we will miss him. Now, we move forward with Warner in our hearts and alongside us as our fearless advocate.
